About Taryn
Taryn Freeby, LPC-Associate
Supervised by Glenna Massey, LPC-S
Hi, I'm Taryn.
I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate with a passion for helping women and teen girls move through life's challenges with greater clarity, confidence, and hope.
My background in kinesiology and exercise science first taught me the importance of caring for the body. Over time, I came to understand that true wellness reaches much deeper. Our thoughts influence our behaviors, our emotional health affects our relationships, and our physical and spiritual well-being are often closely connected. This understanding shapes the holistic and integrative way I approach counseling.
I use evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, mindfulness, and trauma-informed care to help clients recognize unhealthy patterns, build practical skills, and move toward meaningful change.
I am especially passionate about supporting adolescent girls and women through every stage of life, including young adulthood, motherhood, perimenopause, and post-menopausal transitions. Whether you are navigating anxiety, depression, grief, relationship challenges, identity concerns, emotional regulation, or a major life transition, my goal is to create a safe and supportive space where you feel seen, understood, and equipped to move forward.
My Christian faith is foundational to who I am and naturally shapes the way I care for others. I believe every person is created with purpose, value, and inherent worth. For clients who are interested, I offer faith-based counseling that can thoughtfully incorporate biblical truth, prayer, and spiritual reflection into the counseling process.
